Terramycin for bees

Use Terramycin sparingly, focusing on treating only visibly infected colonies. A 200g Terramycin soluble powder pack dissolves in 1 gallon of sugar syrup (1:1 ratio of sugar and water). This solution offers approximately 20 treatments at 10 ml per hive application.

Administer the solution directly to the bees via a hive-top feeder or other suitable method. Ensure all bees have access to the treated syrup. Repeat the treatment in 7-10 days if infection persists. Always follow label instructions meticulously for dosage and application.

Note: Terramycin is an antibiotic and should be used responsibly. Overuse can contribute to antibiotic resistance. Consider alternative treatments, like good hive hygiene and queen replacement, where appropriate. Always prioritize prevention through strong colony health practices. Consult your local veterinary expert for guidance on specific bee health issues.

Remember: Monitor your hives closely after treatment. If symptoms do not improve within a reasonable timeframe, seek further veterinary advice. Safe and effective beekeeping involves continuous learning and adaptation.
