Before taking Tinidazole, inform your doctor about all your medical conditions, especially:
- Nervous system disorders: Tinidazole can exacerbate existing neurological issues. Report any history of seizures or peripheral neuropathy. Blood disorders: If you have a history of blood disorders, Tinidazole might worsen the condition. Discuss this with your doctor before starting treatment. Liver or kidney problems: Tinidazole is metabolized by the liver and excreted by the kidneys. Impaired liver or kidney function requires careful dose adjustment or alternative treatment. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Tinidazole should be avoided during pregnancy unless the benefits clearly outweigh the potential risks to the fetus. Breastfeeding should be temporarily discontinued while using Tinidazole. Alcohol consumption: Avoid alcohol during and for at least three days after completing Tinidazole treatment. Severe adverse reactions can occur.
Tinidazole is contraindicated in individuals with:
- Known hypersensitivity to Tinidazole or other nitroimidazoles: This includes metronidazole and ornidazole. Allergic reactions can range from mild skin rashes to severe anaphylaxis. Severe blood disorders: Active blood dyscrasias necessitate alternative treatment. Central nervous system diseases: Pre-existing neurological conditions might be worsened.
Always follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment. Report any unusual symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or neurological changes, immediately.

Driving and operating machinery: Tinidazole can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid activities requiring alertness until you know how the medication affects you.
