Avoid concurrent use of Cadista (methylprednisolone) with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen or naproxen. This combination increases your risk of stomach ulcers and bleeding.
Similarly, combine Cadista cautiously with anticoagulants such as warfarin or heparin. Methylprednisolone can reduce the effectiveness of these blood thinners, increasing your risk of blood clots. Close monitoring by your doctor is crucial.
Combining Cadista with potassium-wasting diuretics, like furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide, might lead to low potassium levels (hypokalemia). Your doctor should regularly check your potassium levels.
Be aware that Cadista can interact with medications affecting the immune system. Examples include vaccines and other immunosuppressants. Discuss all medications with your physician before starting Cadista treatment.
