Seek immediate medical help if you experience any of the following: Severe allergic reactions, including swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing; or a rapid, weak pulse. These symptoms indicate a potentially life-threatening condition called angioedema.
Signs of Kidney Problems
Lisinopril can affect kidney function. Watch for signs like decreased urine output, swelling in your legs and ankles, persistent fatigue, or nausea. Report these symptoms to your doctor immediately for appropriate evaluation and management.
High potassium levels (hyperkalemia) are another serious concern. Symptoms may include muscle weakness, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and numbness or tingling. Your doctor will monitor your potassium levels regularly, but report these symptoms promptly if you notice them.
Finally, be aware of signs of low blood pressure (hypotension), such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. These can be particularly problematic after the first dose or when the dose is increased. Report these to your doctor right away.
