Read the medication guide thoroughly before starting your Medrol Pak. Familiarize yourself with the dosage schedule and any potential side effects. Keep a record of when you take each dose. This helps ensure you complete the course correctly.
Managing Potential Side Effects
Inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, especially diabetes, high blood pressure, or glaucoma, as Medrol Pak may exacerbate these. Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration, a common side effect. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly if you have diabetes. Report any unusual symptoms, such as severe stomach pain, unusual bleeding, or vision changes, to your doctor immediately.
Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding food intake. While there are usually no specific dietary restrictions, maintaining a balanced diet is always recommended. Understand that some side effects are temporary and will subside once you complete the medication course.
Storing Your Medrol Pak
Store your medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Dispose of any leftover medication appropriately according to your pharmacist’s or doctor’s instructions.
