Avoid contact with your eyes during application. Gently apply the prescribed amount to the affected eye(s), avoiding touching the tip of the container to your eye or surrounding skin.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Ofloxacin ophthalmic and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Report any persistent eye irritation, redness, or worsening of your condition to your doctor immediately. Don’t continue using the medication if you experience an allergic reaction–such as swelling, itching, or rash–immediately discontinue use and seek medical attention.
Inform your doctor of all medications you are currently taking, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Some medications may interact with Ofloxacin.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Discuss the use of Ofloxacin ophthalmic with your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Do not use Ofloxacin ophthalmic if the solution is discolored or contains particles. Discard the medication after the expiration date printed on the label.
Keep Ofloxacin ophthalmic out of reach of children. Store it as directed on the label, typically at room temperature away from direct sunlight and moisture.
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember unless it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
