Precautions and Contraindications for Using Generic Retin-A Micro Pump

Always apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry skin at night. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and broken skin. Start with use every other night to allow your skin to adjust; increase frequency gradually as tolerated.

Sun Sensitivity and Protection

Retinoids increase sun sensitivity. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is mandatory. Limit sun exposure, especially during peak hours. Wear protective clothing and seek shade whenever possible.

Potential Side Effects

Expect initial dryness, redness, peeling, or burning. These usually lessen with continued use. If irritation persists or worsens, reduce application frequency or discontinue use and consult your dermatologist. Rarely, more serious side effects, such as hyperpigmentation or allergic reactions, can occur. Stop treatment and seek medical attention if you experience unusual symptoms.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Retin-A is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss alternative treatments with your doctor.

Drug Interactions

Inform your doctor or pharmacist about all medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements, you are taking. Some medications may interact with Retin-A.

Other Precautions

Avoid waxing, harsh scrubbing, or aggressive skincare treatments while using Retin-A. Do not use with other strong topical medications without consulting your doctor. Store the pump in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
