Womenra, containing sildenafil, can cause side effects. These are generally mild and temporary, but knowing what to expect is helpful.
Common Side Effects
- Headache Facial flushing Indigestion Nasal congestion Visual disturbances (blurred vision, sensitivity to light)
These usually resolve on their own. If they persist or worsen, contact your doctor.
Less Common but Serious Side Effects
- Prolonged erection (priapism): Seek immediate medical attention. This is a medical emergency. Sudden decrease or loss of vision: Stop taking Womenra and see an eye doctor immediately. Sudden decrease or loss of hearing: Stop taking Womenra and consult your doctor immediately. Heart attack or stroke: If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or other symptoms, seek emergency help.
These are rare, but you should be aware of them.
Precautions
Consult your doctor: Before taking Womenra, discuss your medical history, including any heart conditions, liver or kidney problems, and other medications you take. Grapefruit interaction: Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as it can increase sildenafil levels in your body. Alcohol: Limit alcohol consumption while taking Womenra, as it can increase the risk of side effects. Dosage: Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Storage: Store Womenra according to the instructions on the packaging.
