Take one Maxalt 10 mg tablet at the first sign of a migraine. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
You can take Maxalt with or without food. However, some people find that taking it with food reduces stomach upset.
If your headache doesn’t improve or worsens after taking one tablet, do not take another dose within 24 hours. Consult your doctor if your migraine persists or if you experience any side effects.
